2. Bengali 3. Yeah 4. N/A 5. N/A 6. The social aspects of my college experiences I get mostly through Greek Life. It affects pretty much all aspects of my college experience. It's a support group. 7. I personally have not, everyone in my Greek family is Muslim; we can joke about it. I haven't outright seen anything that would make me feel uncomfortable. 8. Probably a lack of knowledge/exposure about Muslims. They know from what they hear, not who they know. People are surprised when I say I am Muslim. 9. For me, my parents are 1st generation in this country. So some aspects of my life are purely Bengali, and some things are purely about my religion. I was more open in high school as far as being exposed to different things and participating in them. 10. Not really, but just because I had a very diverse upbringing and there's not as much as I'm used to here. 11. see above 12. Not mine, but in Islam drinking is a big issue. The sexual atmosphere would be too, and drug abuse, but I am not really a practicing Muslim. 12. I pretty much identify as American, but I am also Muslim (sunday school growing up), and Bengali. I am all three. |
